Hi, I Currently Have An Ez On My "03". Thinking Of Stacking It But Not Sure Which Method To Choose. Talked With A Rep From Edge And He Thought The Downloader Would Be Best. any Input. MY FIRST POST, NEW MEMBER.

The EZ with the TST is a very nice stack. However the Bully Dog box is a little cheaper. The tst uses no rail pressure increase which is why it works nicely with the EZ. The bully dog raises rail pressure. So if it were my truck I would look into the tst so that I didn't have two boxes raising rail pressure.
 
Has anyone run the TST with the BDDL on the crazy larry program?. . Impressions/experiences?. . How bad/good is the smoke?. . TIA

Piers ran the crazy larry program and said it smokes with just the slightest blip of the throttle. I would like to try the stack, just haven't gotten around to it.
 
I have a 03 Ho 6spd with the TST/ ez stack and love it. I live at 6700 ft elevation and it seams to have no problem smoking with only a little throttle input. there may be a better stack, but i would go with the tst/ez because you allready have the EZ.

Was that when he put down 735HP? Also, what settings did he have the TST on?
 
I would stay away from rail pressure increases. It's not good for the injection system. There is a relief valve in the rail that doesn't like to open repeatedly. If it has to open more than a few times you risk losing rail pressure permanently.



I had a BDDL for a while. I sent it back. It was messed up... Bully Dog acknowledged it. I got spooked when I had problems getting the program unloaded and reloading the stock program.



Running the TST now. Laid down 425hp in at IRP2005 with it set on 5/5. It smokes but only on the higer settings and only when you really load the engine. That's sometimes hard to do with an automatic. Full throttle when she locks up in 3rd and 4th it bellows pretty good :D Now I see why we need a performance trans rebuild. I would love to have more power to the ground in first and second.

yeh, he also had injectors. He made like 685 without injectors. He says the truck only has twins, cam and a fass fuel pump. He said he had the crazy larry program with the tst on level 7.
 
I thank all of you for your input, as I have not done any transmission upgrades and with just a mere 7200 miles on my truck I am a bit concerned about breaking something with that kind of power. The Edge tech said the juice for the "03" should be out by months end. Since we are almost there, think I will wait to see there #s. Thanks again
 
oh my, you didn't fall for the edge"be out within a month" joke did you? We have been waiting for at least 18-20 months and have been getting told the same thing month after month. :D
 
Loaded the extreme with just injectors. Had to unprogram it after 2 miles! Undrivable with stock trans/turbo. Read the last sentence again! Spun the converter with just a touch of throttle and sent the egt to 1400*+! Would be a kick in the pants with the upgrades.

My freind has stacked it with his Bully Dog box but just like with injectors, there is only so much you can do with stock equiptment.

I run my BDDL and HOT Juice, EZ have no issues other than it smokes like a freight train. Throttle response for me increased quite a bit when I added the BDDL plus mileage. On the 4th August, we are going to dyno both Crazy Larry, HOT Juice stand alone and then stack them. Plus adding TS Performance NO2.
