Ahhh, its nice to have more power again.
I removed the TST Powermax CR with R49 remote from my '04. 5 Ram before trading it in, and put it on my new '06. The only thing needed for the swap was a new injector wiring harness for the '06+, which was $85 from TST.
Installation was pretty simple, easier on an '06 due to there being only two injector harness plugs instead of three. The most time consuming part is drilling/tapping the 1/8-27 NPT hole for the thermocouple. Invest in a good quality bit and tap to make the job easier and quicker. The rest is just plug-n-play.
I waited about 30K miles on my '04. 5 before deciding to modify it. Once I had the TST and dual MBRP exhaust on that truck, I kicked myself for not doing it sooner. It made the big dually FUN to drive! The '06 only has 1K miles on it now, and I'm glad to have the extra 100 HP. Its most noticeable on the freeway, this thing passes other cars quickly and feels 'lighter' with the extra power.
