I have been running my TST for about 2 years now and I am well pleased with the power. I am considering selling my old one and getting a new TST with all of the great new features. But the Smarty keeps crossing my mind. What do you guys think?? I know the Smarty/TST stack would be really awesome, but if you had to do one or the other, what would it be?? Thanks

I had an older tst that I sold because I bought a smarty. Like you I considered upgrading it, but I was so impressed by smarty on my 98. 5 I just had to try it on the 05. I kept the tst untill I heard that Marco was coming out with a boost fooling program. If I just could run one box it would be the smarty- I'm able to make more power with less heat. I miss on the fly adjustability :{ , I spend 5min to reprogram while I'm hooking to a trailer- other than that I'm all :D. (Currently all funds are going to the 98. 5, I'd still like a new tst though- one truck at a time I guess  )

Unless you've gotta have the cash from the sale of the TST, run both. That's what I do. I'm currently running Smarty on #3 (w/timing), and run the TST on 2/2. This gives me lot's of driveability. In snow or ice I back the TST down to 0. I've also had about 1. 5 mpg increase in economy on this setting.

... . your results may vary ;)

Yeah, I thought about stacking them but I would rather run one box like the TST, especially since they have all the new features. As far a being able to adjust on the fly, I would almost hate to give that up. I guess Ill stick with the TST

I had an early TST on my 04 and I loved it. Then I bought a Smarty about 6 months ago and really like that. I think the smarty is better at getting the hp without so much EGT's like the TST would produce. Because of this I've decided to just run the Smarty and let that do all the "thinking" for the extra power. I don't think its a good idea to have both the TST and smarty changing the injection timing... think its just too much. I know, I could turn timing off on Smarty, but I thought that that was part of the reason why Smarty produces the power with less EGT's, maybe Smarty has better timing than TST??? I don't know. I also have a lot of employees that drive my pickup, so I didn't want them turning up the TST to 9/9 and melting my turbo, so the non adjustable on the fly is a bit of a benefit too me.

Marco does actually change the timing curve not just add to the exsisting software.

That results in lower egts which average 100-200 degrees less.

If I had it to do over I would probably try the smarty. The TST has some nice features like cool down, EGT defueling, on the fly adjustable, and adjustable timing. However I don't care for how uneven the power seems to be. It seems peaky when compared to my 03 that has injectors and an EZ. The bottom end is not so good, when I floor it it starts to go then seems to hesitate then takes off up top. The TST seems to always give codes too regardless of year. I need a smarty just to erase the codes the TST gives. I'm used to using light throttle with a non-adjustable power adder so I might go smarty sometime soon.
