I guess there are some issues with any trucks built after 8/06. No solution yet.

Anyone have any more info on the problem?

Talking with Mark at TST and they are looking for a solution.

Just wondering what the issue was.

I have a new TST I got for my 03 just before I sold it... Would love to run it on the new truck.

Your '07 and the 03 are different animals. The connections on the '06 and up trucks are different, I doubt you could even hook it up. The ECM in the newer trucks is also more powerful and different from the older trucks. Unfortunately I don't think you are going to be able to run a TST from an '03 on an '07.

I talked to TST about this in the past. . I was under the impression that the harness is different, but the box itself will work... The 03 has 3 injector harness plugs, and the 06's up have 2 harness pluggs... Also the waste gate is different... ... .

The issue on late 06 and 07 5. 9 trucks is the rail pressure sensor. The sensors in these trucks is a little different although the plug is the same. TST instructions will tell you not to hook this up on later trucks so you won't have the rail pressure gauge or increase feature. Every thing else should work though I think.

Yeah, I do have to change the injection harness... But it should still work. Same box works on an 06 built before 8/06 with no problems.

I did read about the problems with the rail pressure. But I think this may be more than that. IF that was all it was, I would just leave it unhooked and buy an EZ for pressure. I already have a rail pressure gauge.

their issues are on the 5. 9L built after 6/06. The problem is in the TST software because of the new software in the 6/06 and newer ECM's.

I talked with them at the resent diesel nationals and they say they're real close to having it figured out. I've been waiting over 6 month myself for the fix.

The box does work as long as you don't connect the RP harness. . as mentioned.

interesting

my rail pressure sensor went approximately 1 month after i put in my TST box.

after replacing it at my own cost i contacted TST and they INSISTED that sorry about my luck but it must be a isolated incident and they had no complaints from other customers.

the new sensor was in less than 1 week when it started throwing codes again. luckily i unplugged that portion if the harness and plugged the factory directly in, cleared the codes & have been driving with no problems since...

wtg TST customer service ...

on another note im still waiting for them to provide me with the harness to allow my fuel pump to run in cooldown mode. i have copies of emails from the TST staff stating it would be provided free of charge... now they insist i pay

Here is what I learned from Mark @ TST:

PowerMax power level two will destroy pistons and injectors on an 07 Ram. As soon as we try to add any fuel at all the Cummins injection duration becomes huge. We don't know why.

It is not a rail pressure issue, it's an injector issue.

Mark
