I am about to buy the TST. I was going to hold out for the Edge or Quadzilla, but I am tired of waitng.

Should I get the model that has built in gauges or not? I already have Dipricol gauges on the A pillar. I would rather save the money and get the one without.

It will be going on a 600 Auto. I already have the AFE intake also.

I know I will have to respect the box or I will burn up the turbo or transmission.

if you have the guages already you will be alright but you lose the ability of the max egt shut dn. Your right foot would do just as good though. I can't speak from experince about the transmission but in my paper work that came with i think it said 3/3 was the max you wanted to push the stock auto. There are several threads on turbo's and the tst boxes. I would refer to them.

The one with guages is nice I already had autometers but I figured if Im going to spend the 7xx for the chip whats another $100? cheap insurance in my book.

Yea, same here. Plus it's nice to drop the egt cutoff down to about 1000° if I ever loan the truck to somebody ;)

I bought the TST with the guages. I already had guages installed so I used both until I decided both sets were consistant then I removed the analog guages. 3/3 is a good setting for the auto trans. I tries 5/5 and it was OK for several thousand miles and then the converter started to slip. Now anything above 3/3 makes it slip. I am going to leave it on 3/3 until I get around to upgrading the trans. I am thinking about removing the TST box this weekend and sending it back for a re-flash. It sets a crank sensor code from time to time, I think that will be fixed with the reflash though.

Just got my TST box back from being reflashed to get rid of single ping/knock noise on deceleration,

reflash is apparently a whole new program on chip cause setting 8-8 dont have the kick my box used to have on 4-2 or 4-4 I miss the kick it used to have, I would be happy with a program somewhere in between the old program and this new reflashed program.

I will say EGTs are no longer an issue but that is a side effect of power and I dont have as much any more...

If anyone whom was concerned about buying a TST box cause they might break something... I dont think that is an issue any more... Not as much punch down low like old program.
