This isn't really a problem for me, just an inconvenience, but anyway if I park my truck outside at night (instead of heated garage) my check engine light comes on. the 0336 crank sensor and 0606 pcm processor fault.

I start the truck with the remote start on these days and it starts up and goes to high idle right away and the exhaust brake kicks on. I've noticed that it only happens if the truck sits out overnight, 4-5 hours dosen't seem to do anything.

Anyone else have this problem? All of the connections have dielectric grease and are tight.

BTW: Temps have ranged from 0-25deg. when this happens.

IMO it's a symptom of "low fuel pressure" due to cold fuel. That's a guess BTW; but I've always had an occassional code thrown in the cold -especially- if I forget to turn the box way down. When it's cold outside I run the box on 1/1 and then I don't get codes (or rarely do). I had the same issue with my 98. 5; I'd shut the box off in cold weather until the engine was nice and warm.

The symptom I see is the engine stumbles and the check engine lights come on; my guess being it's not getting the fuel it's expecting (cold; thick) but the computer is telling it that it is. Again -- just a wild guess on my part. I turn the box down or off in cold weather until it has a chance to warm up -- you may as well -- that extra fuel is just blowing out the tailpipe until the engine is warm enough to burn it.
