I have a 2000 Jayco Eagle 5th wheel. The bottom plastic u shaped track to the accordian type tub/shower enclosure is cracked. The rest of the enclosure is still fine. I want to replace the cheap plastic bottom track w/ a metal one. It is a u shaped, 2" wide, 1" tall, 35 1/2" long with drain holes on one side that so it drains water back into the shower.

My kids tend to sit on the edge of the tub (on the track) while changing/etc and

a metal track would stand up to abuse better.

Anybody beat me to this fix? Where would I look to find an aluminum track? Internet so far is not much help. I may go to a glass/shower shop and scrounge for some track laying around.

thanks

Tom

Most ACE or Tru-Value hardware stores carry wide selections of aluminum pieces in various shapes and sizes, as well as replacement parts for tubs and showers - should be able to find what you want there...

I had the same issue with my old trailer, tried gluing the track with no success. You may even think about a metal supply shop that could cut you off a piece of C channel Aluminum in the proper length.
