Tug A War

Hey guys I'm new to the forum I love to read all the messages. I plan to go to the 4x4 jamboree in Springfield MO and they have a tug a war contest I was considering entering but I'm not sure what gear to pull in. I have 4. 5" lift 35's 355 gears and power edge ez. Can anyone add a little insight? Also I got to start the new 2003 diesel and view the truck. Its as quiet as a gas engine but the 2500 I saw didn't sit up high like the old style.

Tug of War = tuff for what?



There is no real purpose to a tug of war. It really comes down to who can make the most power, WITH THE MOST TRACTION. Put about 10 80pound bags of concrite in the bed before you do it, and throw it in to 4HI, and start in 1st, then quick shift to 2nd.



That's IF i would do it, but there is no way i would do that to my truck. If you got the money to repair anything that could go wrong, do it. I think more things can go wrong in tugs, then draging, or sleding.
