Show'and'Shine Rained Out

Adam,

Drag racing on a track is what I meant. You're right I haven't made it into the 12's yet so you diffenately have nothing to worry about. :D I guess I'm just crazy and am going to give my money away. A grand sounds fair to me. But remember what ever happens it's for fun, no grudges. I say we give everyone ample warning so they can come watch, if interested.

This should be fun:D :D :D

When, Where, and how much to watch

Why don't you guys take a short drive before the race to make sure your engines and trannies are warm. Let's say... ... ... ... to Texas. :)

I would love to be there to see this.

My initial reaction was Stefan is getting in over his head. Then, the more I think about it, the closer I think it's going to be.

This will be the ultimate torque convertor comparison.

I'll bet Bill K. and Brian Roth will both be attending this one!

Both trucks will be dangerous off the line with either slicks or 4x4 launch. Both trucks will have TC clutches locked in high gear or better plan on it. (Stefan)

I just want to see the race from 2nd gear through 3rd gear before Adam will lock his TC clutch. The question for me is will that tweaked 93% DTT TC put more power to the ground and pull ahead enough to overcome the 100 HP disadvantage and 500 lbs of weight difference at the high speed end of the track.

I know Stefan is much faster than the 13. 7 listed in his profile, and Adam has much more power than the 590 listed in his, but it should be close enough. I'm getting excited just thinking about it. This is why I'll never be a good dragracer. I get too excited to perform all the necessary driver functions.

I'd have to bet on Adam though.

-Chris

Somebody please video this thing!!!

Just talked with my Dad and he said that he will put up $1000 for this. The race should be open to anyone that wants to race. NO DRUGS that way it's the fastest DIESEL wins. Street trucks only, no trailer queens, slicks legal. I'm sure that DD, Power Edge, Bullydog, BD and several others may be interested in matching our offer. Bill figures that the race should be held in Muncie during THUNDER in Muncie as they got a great turn out and it gives everyone ample time to prepare. And that was the east coast guys can be in on it. We can have Eric McBride (stack'd and jack'd) organize the race as he did a great job last time. I think that there shouldn't be a seperate entry for this race so anyone can participate. But there should be serious tech on the trucks making sure that there is no drugs. There must be at least 20-30 trucks out there just as fast or even faster than us. Keeping in mind that we need to check with Eric.

oh wait now its on your terms Stephan, I said now... .

and whats this about trailer queens, I said 100miles drive then race so that would take the old slicks out of the equation...

its sounds like tones have changed so now its all for fun. I'd be glad to race, being that diesels are just my passion and for fun, not profit I don't think I will drive 3500 miles to Muncie just for 1000 dollor grudge match.

But Oregon is in the middle for us and also would be way more practicle in the next few weeks.

oh well, I have to remember this is all for fun. :)

witch reminds me the end of the month is LA diesel only drags.

Grudge Match???

I will definitely have a King of the Hill category. Adam, you better be in Muncie just to hang out!!!! Why not race while you're here? $1000 to win, I'll annie-up with a trophy entitled "Fastest Diesel Pickup". I will work with you guys on the rules. I am working on Thunder in Muncie 2002 this week. Email me gentlemen.

Adam, yeah, you better be in Muncie just to hang out, and if you can get your truck out here, so much the better. Stefan just made a point in his post above, which I think several people might have missed, that DD, PowerEdge, BD and others may put up some $$$$, in which case it would be more than $1000 to win... .

I know Eric and I and several others will assist you, Stefan, HVAC, Psychostroker, and MadDog to get out to Muncie. We'll do what we can.

Eric and I are talking about trailering our trucks to California next year, preferably for Palmdale.

There's lots of possibilities. :D

I agree, meeting in Oregon would be easier for you and Stefan, but let the rest of us in on the fun!!

Comming Back Next Year?

KUUL!!!

I haven't even been there this year yet I'm already lookin' forward to next year:)
