I was wondering when I read that guys are gaining alot of hp (like they say they are getting when they dyno at garmons shop and he tunes them in for another 100hp) what are they talking about ??? are they changeing out DV's, or injectors,or fuel plates ??? sorry for sounding stupid ,I just was in the dark and wanted to know.

Well after watching Jeff Garmon tune a truck yesterday, Looks like Timing, GSK kit, Injectors, D/V's, and a custom grind plate will give you 100 hp easily...

right but some of these drag trucks have all that when they go there, lets say we have a 650hp motor and I go there is it worth the trip or not ?? I just didn't think there was a whole lot of fine tuning that could be done to a 12V I know timing makes a big difference . but is that al lthey play with?? and can you tune a pullin truck on a dyno like they do the drag trucks???

I dunno about the dyno question, but theres always more air and more fuel to be added. 650 on a p-pump truck ain't nothin... .

I guess I am saying it wrong . . leaveing it at that same set up can they gain by just tuning ?? or are they changeing that stuff to gain ??

Probably gain some by tuning, Adding timing, tighten wastegate for more boost, AFC fine tuning. That may gain some, to get alot more your gonna swap injectors, and internal pump modifications, twins, porting, NOS, H2o/meth, etc...
