I just tore down my hx35 turbo with 14cm turbine housing ,I'm installing a bigger compressor wheel and housing and rebuilding it, on inspecting the turbine housing I found alot of cracks in the divider. What are acceptable cracks in this housing? I just bought this turbo because it had a 14cm housing on it! Any help would be great!

The center is called the flute. If it is cracked there i doubt it would cause a problem. Just be careful there are no other cracks. Usually cracks come from shrinkage and extreme heat. Make there there are no others and that your exhaust pin wheel has good clearance.

Thanks for the reply, all but one of the cracks are in the flute area, there is one that runs tward the counter bore area were the center housing mounts, is this one a problem? Thanks in advance, Dave
