turbo and box question

2001. 5 HO how do i find out what turbo it has, what is the HX40 and what is the better box for your money. Not looking for unlimited horse power just a few here and there without going broke doing it.

Yours probably has the HX35 turbo, the HX40 is a larger turbo capable of more pressure. You don't need it unless you want serious power. There is a plate on the front of the turbo usually below the rubber inlet hose that says the model. From what I'm finding out, the Power Edge EZ box is about the best bang for the buck.

Welcome Mike !!! You have the HX35 turbo on the ETH. If you look on the turbo, you will see a silver metal plate with "Holset" on same and "HX35W" listed next to "model". The HX40 is the next size up (larger housing). There are a lot of boxes out there for the ETH, I would suggest you try the Edge EZ box. I put this box on my truck as my first Bomb and am still using it now. With everything else stock, i. e. , injectors, air, exhaust, this box really makes the ETH move out. Please put in at least an egt. gauge as a minimum before the EZ.
