turbo Bark?

Was coming home last night and pulled out behind a Chebby diesel, I'm assuming it was a 6. 2L. Anyways this guys seen me behind him and was pouring the coals to this poor truck and I'd let him pull away a bit then goose it and get back on his A@# I did this about 4 times all the while I could hear him just standing on the pedal as my window was open. It would not have been close at all :;



Every time I goosed it then let off I could hear like a "whump" or dull thud/pop noise. I don't know what it was and am wondering if was turbo bark. I've never heard it before and hope it was nothing serious



Oh then I got on the main hwy through the city and a newer monte carlo pulls up real fast along side, these guys were in a hurry to get somewheres. I look over and rattle the pedal a bit they smirked while I locked into 4high, red went to green and it was on... I launched and crushed em hard. I let off about 90kms/hr (speed limit is 70) and they then flew by, I had them bay about 4 or 5 car lengths when I let off.



I never really considered my truck as quick or anything like that, until I've read a few stories and got the confidence to try it out against a few vehicles, thus far I've not been dissapointed and I'm basically stock !!

Probably sounded like a poodle, you need to add more HP to get it up to at least a hound dog

Well,



I've been called crazy, but I'm not stupid If I see a corvette next to me there will be no race.



Right now I'll limit my play time to other pickups, but I was suprised how I did against a monte carlo though.



I'm going to bomb sooner or later, but I need guages and a transmission job first then I'll think about the mustangs et al.
