Well, after only 235,000 miles the turbo bearings are starting to make noise and I feel a little radial play in the shaft.

Called up Cummins Cal Pacific for cost of rebuilt and was shocked to learn its less than $500. Not cheap, but less than I thought it would be. Now for the job of replacing it.

I was hoping it would last another 100K. Was saving that money for new injectors. Oh well, driving one of these things aint cheap and they dont last forever.

I hope the injector pumps lasts awhile. :)

Have you looked into Piers's modified HX-35 as a replacement? If I was spending cash on a new turbo, I'd get the performance one.

Too late, all ready installd the rebuilt. The noisy one must have been dragging a little. Boost came up and seems to run better. :D
