OK, i need some help on turbos, im currently running a drag comp, fass, southbend clutch, and DDIII jammer injectors,im told the injectors are 175 hp,i purchased them through Relentless diesel in willis tx, im currently overseas in Baharin, Saudi Arabia,In the US Navy. Im getting out and going to do hotshot work with my dad. getting info on which turbo would best work for towing on my setup is difficult due to not much time to get on TDR and read :( .

Any help from yall would be much appreciated, i would prefer to run a single turbo due to the fact that twins are a little out of my grasp, im getting out in June of 2006 so i have only a little time to get my ducks in a row. . God Bless

First of all thank you for serving for us!

As for turbos, I would look at the Phat Shaft, I am no expert but with those injectors the 64 or the 66 might be the one. Brett from II would be able to help you out better.

The Dodgezilla is a great turbo at a bargain price. It suffers a little on the top end compaired to the Shwitzer derived spinners but it's a great mid range towing unit.

Thanks for your service. God bless you all. Merry Christmas.

Check my sig for my specs on my rig. I tow 6-8 tons with mine and it performs great. My injectors are a little smaller (150hp). I also don't run with my fueling box on all the time as I just don't need it. My timing box (the EZ) is on setting 1 of 3 and my EGT's stay down when loaded.

I tried a 66 and got some nasty surge with it. Maybe if you don't tow heavy and stay on flat land it might be OK but I just couldn't have that. the lack of boost down low also got my EGT's into the danger zone with only 4 tons load and small hills. I went to 62 (Thanks to Doug at Performance Diesel Warehouse! Unparalleled service and prices. ) My 62 surges a little now but it is controllable and really only happens in 5th gear under hard long acceleration from low speed. And with the TST on I have not noticed any surging. I have not tried towing with the TST on yet though. the 62 spools up fast and is really easy to tow with. I really like it.

I have to say it is not as exciting as the 66. When that 66 lit up it was bad-azzzzz. However, the wastegate on the 66 didn't keep the pressure controlled (it went to 55 psi before I caught it, no new head gasket yet thankfully) . If you o ring it wouldn't be a problem. To keep the 66 from surging (truck unloaded) I ran the EZ on 3 and the TST on 6. That controlled it and made for a hell of ride. If you work your truck though, I would stick to a 62. It is a major jump from the stocker and deals with oversized loads really well. I have heard that the 64 is kind of hit or miss with surge on 24 valves.

Doug of PDW (Jetpilot on TDR) has some good experience with the Industrial injection stuff. Give him a call 717-557-7060 or message him. He answered dozens of questions for me before I ever ordered.

I couldn't agree more. I have used the Dodgezilla in my daily driver/towing configuration for quite some time now and I just love its versatility.

Good luck with your choice and thank you again for your service to our country. :)

I run a comp, currently 150 HP injectors, and the HTT 62/14. This is a very usable set up, plenty of power with the box off and EGT's are keept well in check with box on kill and a 8000 pound plus load on the back.
