Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Turbo Clamp plates!

Hey yall,





I had to buy some turbo clamping plates, those half round whatchamadiddles that hold the center section of the turbo to the exhaust housing. Well, I checked with Dodge, just for a comparison- nada. So, I called Cummins and ordered some, I needed two and wanted an extra. It was one of those things you gotta have, so I didn't ask a price :--) :{ Not good. I got the bill today -34. 71 apiece :{ + tax and freight, Talk about sticker shock! i'm used to stuff being high, working on trucks and buying bunches of stuff from Cummins, but this is crazy!



Normally these wouldn;t be replaced, but somehow on the truck I was working on; the bolts had come loose and they had fallen out, as did the clamp plate.



Didn't know if this had happened to anyone else, hopefully not.

I checked all over for a HX40 downpipe band clamp and couldn't find anything under $35.

I dunno why they were so high, Genuine Cummins.



Vaughn; I had to buy a few of those v-band clamps(R. G. Ray) the other day, except for a Hx35 and they were about $22.
