here is my situation i have an 01 auto it had an hy35 i run a blue chip apb box that a mechanic (or so he said) fried along with both batteries so i sent the box back to chip at blue chip which by the way is a great guy with a great business and very knowledgeable. back to the situation while my box was being fixed i installed an hx35w on the truck. got the apb box back and installed which works great but now with the hx35 my egt is higher than it was with the hy35. im getting about 30# of boost with the hx compared to 40# with the hy35. i know there is a boost elbow i can add but shouldnt the hx move more air than the hy did and will installing the elbow solve my problem? sorry so long. thanks adam

At 40 psi you were over boosting with that little hy spinner. An adjustable boos elbow is a good idea but you need to set it to 35 psi max. You must have some sort of a boos fooler now or the 40 psi would have been setting over boos codes. Also, be sure to check all your hoses, clamps & such for boos leaks.

Is Anyone Running The 14cm Non Wastegated Housing And How Much Did It Cool Things Down?

I'm running the wategated 14 cm housing. I can't give a figure on temp reduction as there were several changes made at the same time I believe you need the waste gate to keep from over boosting. 35 psi is the max for a HX 35. Higher than that will spin it to fast & the extra boost is wasted in extra heat in the charged air.
