Hi All

I had been thinking about find this exhast leak for some time and final took the time to look. Every time I use the exhaust brake to help warm the truck up I was getting exhaust fumes in the cab all must insantly. During the summer I din't warm it up with the exhaust brake so not a big deal. Now that it is full, and in the low 30s at night I was going to start using the brake agian but the fumes are bad. So what I found is the torbo housing split line leaking. Is there a gasket to replace or replacing the turbo ? Here is a picture

The big questions are?

1. Can I fix this with a gasket and time?

2. Do I have to use a hx-35 do to the exhaust brake being mounted to the turbo flange?

3. Can I upgrade to a hx-40 and use the same flange on back of the bigger turbo so I can still use my exhaust brake, am I going to restrick the flow to much and get higher egts?

Thanks

Glen

update

So I took it apart today and found 3 different length bolts. Put it back together with all the same length bolts and no leaks. $2. 50 for 4 bolts at napa and 3 hours of work.
