Can some one explain how holset measures their exaust housings?

I understand it is cross sectional area, but I do not know what it is measuring.



Shed some light?

I would try HERE. There was another thread that showed how to read the production numbers to get the correct size, but I have yet to find it.

Cross sectional area of both sides down inside the ports, right where they open into the wheel and the scroll has wrapped all the way around.
