I was at my buddies shop the other night (abanded chicken house) :D kicking around and found a turbo behind a pile of crap literally. It seems to be in halfway decent condition, there is a little front to back play but not bad. He said that it was off his old 12v 98'. The ID tag has been removed for some reason. Is there any way of Id'n it other than that plate?

Also would it be a good candidate for twins along with my turbo. I know that its stock, but my turbo really lacks low end spool.

Is there any good threads on Homemade twins?

If it's off of a '98 12v, it would be a HX-35 w/ 'gated 12cm2 turbine housing (assuming it hasn't been changed). Too small to use as a twin with your current turbo. You would need one bigger.

If it has end to end play, it will need to be fixed. Some side-to-side play is OK, but noticeable end play is not.
