Turbo lag

I'm a converted stroker and only have 1000 miles on my truck but have noticed a lag when taking off from a stop. Truck has normal temp and I have the engine retarder off. I have a 2008 3500 quad cab 6 sp auto long box dually. When I feel the lag, I end up giving it more throttle and then it takes off like a jack rabbit. I asked the service writer at the dealer if it had the ax flash and he just said that it has the most recent but didn't know what that was. Anybody know of a fix for this.

I am having the same problem and got the same answer from the dealership. I sure am tired of this.
