The driver's side lower turbo boot keeps slipping off on my 2001 2500.

This has caused 12000 - 13000 pyrometer readings and thick heavy smoke on the highway, along with dirty looks from annoyed motoring public. I have replaced and re-clamped it twice, only to have it happen again. ( Yes, it's oily )

The boot looks OK as does the clamp. Is there a glue or some method to fix this once and for all? We are a long ways from home and at a loss for a solution. Any suggestions?

We are on a shaky Motel Wi-Fi, so may not be able to answer right away, but please post any helpful ideas TIA

:confused

Also once you get the boot and intercooler nice and clean... use some hair spray on the inside of the boot. Not only does it help when you put the boot on but once it dries it will stick to help keep it there...
