Attention: TDR Forum Junkies Help! I have a '99 with a Banks turbo and a BD brake. Recently installed an AFE Mega-Cannon. Turbo noise increased markedly as I see others have noted as well. Also heard a clicking/chattering noise like a card in bicycle spokes. Still not too concerned.
Now, however, when I activate the exhaust brake, I hear a new noise in addition to the above. It is a screeching noise. Called BD and they said not to worry, but I am not sure I communicated my problem clearly.
Is this a problem? Is my turbo going out? If I have to replace the turbo, is there a better choice than Banks? I have been happy with the level of performance of the Banks system.
