Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Turbo on 2002

What turbo came on a 2002 with a 6 speed manual and what type flange.



I think mine is fried from what the g/f tells me since i am on Guam for a temporary duty and need to replace it by the sounds of problems





Problem: more black smoke than normal and no balls when pulling out anymore.

Should be an HX35 if memory serves me right. Might want to check the intercooler boots for tears first though as that would give you the same symptoms along with sky high EGT's.

Could also be as simple as a plugged air filter. Have her check the filter minder.

Filter minders are a joke. I would definitely have her check the intercooler boost hose. If worst comes to worst take it to a good shop you know and have them check it out. Not putting your woman down or anything but you know how they are hahahaha. :-laf

HX35 wastegated 12 cm ex housing with a T3 flange.
