Turbo on the way out?

How much should I be able to move the shaft? I took air tube off when i changed my oil and I felt the shaft to see if I had play. I do, not much but a little. The fins don't hit anything but I have movement. Should I worry or should I be ready to buy a new turbo?

Up/Down and Side/Side you should have a -little- bit of play in the spindle. You should have ZERO perceptable play front/back. The shaft is partially flexible, and also rides on a thin layer of oil in the bearing housing. Some side/side play is perfectly acceptable.
