Ok finally got the required money to purchase a turbo... so with my mods assuming that im going to put newera edm 370s and a set of 191dvs minimal light towing, main thing is a daily driver, and wants to kill stock mustangs and fart-canned ricers on the weekends@the strip also need to find the best possible price on them and where to get them.

TIA Casey

Hope that helps some... ... Andy

I'd do a 62mm S300 variant.

and I wouldn't do the 191's, especially for towing

Agreed,

I have run several chargers and the sps62 is the best daily driver imo, spools up quickly and comes in early. Bigger chargers are better in competition, no doubt, but a 62 is a lot of fun in a driver ;)

After trying several turbo's from several sourses, I finally got a 62/14 from DDP in Monroe Wa.

I cannot say how much I like it. I tow a 38 foot toy hauler with a gross of about 21,000lbs and it makes towing a pleasure.

Plus I do like to show off now and then. Like out pulling a friends twin turbo powerstroke while towing a empty race car trailer (5,000lbs) and him with no trailer, and never going over 1,250 degrees.

And just to add salt to an open wound, I get 5mpg better than he does.

now im worried sounds like i shoulda went with a 64 or 66 i bought my turbo first then the injectors(stupid)oh well im used to pyro being pegged lol, it only goes to 1500. so who knows how hot im really gonna be maybe i can slide my plate back?

TIA Casey

well i installed my turbo and although im very happy with it my pyro still gets pegged with these pensacola 90hp 4x. 014 hole injectors, and stupid me ordered DDP4s, what was i thinking do you think i should try to send them back and get DDP3s or say screw it w/ the 4s and just slide my plate back? can a htt62/71/14 handle higher egts over a stock turbo? all i want to do is drag race and cannot afford water meth or any other mods for a while thanks in advance Casey

I'd bet the ddp4's run the same or less egt than those 4x14's, there bigger sure, but ddp makes a nice injector, my ddp4's are cleaner and cooler than 370's. I'd try 'em, there is a return spring on the throttle, remember? :-laf

I'm no expert by far, but I'm going to say you'll do alright with that turbo. I went with a II PS62/65/12 and put in DDP4's. I was a little worried at first, but after install I'm glad I got the 4's. EGT's a little hot on wot (1350). I went with the smaller turbo for use as a twin set-up later.
How do you like it so far. I've heard good things about a 62/71/with 12,13s/s, and 14. How's the spool-up?

lol, well with all my fuel it wont clean up the 4s as i expected but its not as bad as i thought it would be , about the same as my old injectors but twice the power, (its a lil scary)lol but spool ups not bad.
