I recently installed a new TST 230 #8 plate and the truck runs good. On a trip back from Cal yesterday I experienced the boost gauge go to 0. I was pulling a low level grade with about 3500lbs. in a trailer. The egt was about 1100-1200 and the boost was 20. About halfway up the hill the boost went to 0 and stayed there for the remainder of the trip. The truck ran good, the egt wanted to rise fairly fast and seemed to run a little hotter than usually at about 1000. When I got home I pulled the air intake off and the turbine spins free with no play. Do I have a waste gate that is stuck open or some other problem. I am assuming that the gauge is working. The gauge is westach with the egt and boost combined. Any help will be appreciated.

I'd be willing to bet that it's either the gauge or it's tubing... . that stuff is brittle at best... and can easily shear right off if tightened too much or stressed... .

A no-boost situation would yield MUCH higher EGTs than usual and basically render the truck gutless... .

did you have an intercooler hose come loose?

Check em out, you will usually have a hose blow off during a climb
