The air inlet to my 12cm turbo is 4" in diameter, the outlet is 3" in diameter and looks like it does not use a slip-on hose and hose clamps. The inlet and outlet of the intercooler are 2-1/2" in diameter, and the inlet to the manifold is 3-1/8" in diameter. What am I supposed to do?????

Can't believe you haven't gotten any answers from anyone so I'll give it a try. From your signature it looks like your putting an intercooler into an 89 truck. The exhaust pipe side of the turbo connects to a down pipe with a band clamp(3" diameter or close). The turbo boost exhaust also uses a band clamp that connects to a metal elbow which in turn connects to a tube that goes to the inlet side of the intercooler. The elbow uses a rubber connector to the tube and the tube uses another rubber connector to connect to the intercooler. The outlet side of the intercooler connects to another tube(also with a rubber connector)that bends up to the intake manifold and connects to the manifold with yet another rubber connector. All the rubber connectors require two band clamps each. Oh, and the 4" turbo intake should be the size of the intake air tube that goes between the filter box and the turbo.
These are all factory stock parts on the 91. 5-93 models and should be available at any dealer, or alot cheaper at a wrecking yard. (if you can find a intercooled CTD in a wrecking yard). Hope this helps!!!

Stalled. Had to take a trip to Alabama in my son's gas RAM to see dying mother-in-law. Still trying to decide whether to enlarge openings in intercooler, or get 2. 5 in intake and use old cold side of turbo.
