EEP, SBC, or McLeoud Dual Disk clutch

Scotty Air II or Mega Cannon?

I have a bone stock HX40 that I bought from Diesel Dynamics, and was installed by them at their shop in Vegas back in June 2001. At that time, they just resold them as purely OEM HX40's. Keith Lockilear has told me that DD now replaces the bearings and so they slightly upgrade their MaxBoost turbo (HX40).

Mine has been on for 45+K trouble free miles to date and is working just fine. Except for the really ugly turbo laaaaaaaaaag when I drag race...

I hope to save my pennies for a set of twins someday.

Whoops, I meant to specify "Daily Driver" turbo.

But then how many of us have more than one CTD--oops that's a whole 'nuther poll.

Keep a spoolin'!:D

B1 today B1/B2 tomorrow

I just pulled my B1 off and sent it to "TexasDieselWorks" for Mark to pair up with a B2. "AN- TI-CI-PA-TION"Oo. Oo. Oo.

PDR HX40-16

How come PDR HX40 is not an option? A B1 and K45 is made by Kwikkurt so you're putting "brand name" turbos on the list.

BTW, I'm running PDR HX40. It has been trouble free and works great. I picked "other" for my turbo.

disclaimer: not affliated with any vendor and I paid for all my stuff.

Toolman,

If you're going to list other turbo by other manfacture and refer to them by their respective names, then you should have a category for PDRHX40 and DD HX40. When I see K45 or B1, I know it is a Kurt Yardley product.

What "generic" classification would the B1 be listed under? I sure Wade is just trying to make a list of the available turbos he knows of, not trying to insult anybody. If he listed everyone who sells 40's the list would be too long.

It doesn't appear to be biased but rather a representative list of popular choices of aftermaket turbos for dodges.

The B1 is popular enough to be listed on it's own. it's on more high hp trucks than any other turbo.

the K45 is drastically different from the b1 and not similar to any other hybrid.

... and 10 is the limit on choices, so I had to make some cuts.

You could start another poll and ask, "Who built your HX-40?"

But let's not let this go the way of some oil and transmission threads...
