At what engine rpm does the turbo start to spool up and create pressure? If on a really cold day I want to take it easy on the engine and let it warm a little before normal driving what would the RPM and/or speed limit be. On a unladen truck.
Boost should start building around 1500-1600 rpms. You won't get a lot until your over 1800 unless you adjust the TQ management. As long as you don't mash the throttle immeditely when cold you should be fine.
