Does the BHAF need some to hold it in place?

I have a 92 W-250 and I am getting ready to do some tweaking. I am going to put on a 16cm turbo housing and a kid I know that used to work on the Dodge Cummins at dealership told me they make a compressor wheel with one more vane and a different pitch that spools up almost as quickly as a waste gated turbo. Does anyone know anything about these other wheels especially a part number Rocky Mountain Truck here in Great Falls didn't know anything about them and his distributer didn't either.

It seems to be pretty rare to find a shop that has that level of knowledge about turbos. The stock turbo on your '92 is a H1C, so you're probably better off upgrading to a modified HX35. I got a used PDR HX35 from another TDR member and love it (I also have a 16cm2 housing on mine).

I may be wrong, but I think TST and Diesel Dynamics also sell hybrid HX35 turbos.
