Just wondering if anyone has tried one of those turbo ring gizmos that fit into the air intake and are supposed to create a vortex (whatever that is) and do all kinds of wonderful things with MPG and HP. It sounds like market hype nonsense to me, but if anybody has tried one, what did it do?

Popular Mechanics had an article about fuel saving devices in a couple issues back. None worked, some decreased mileage. So as Scrappy put it... its a bunch of BS

If you're talkin' "tornado", I think they just might be BS.

I've got a TAG III in mine and it does some of what it's supposed to. Quicker spool-up, lower cruising boost, smoother turbo--all easily seen/heard. As for MPG, no improvement. I use my truck for work so it's towing a lot. Maybe with the lower boost cruising I might see a slight improvement but I dunno. It MIGHT be worth it in turbo life, but honestly, how many stock turbos blow without "help"? Way too many $$$ to be worth it, but it is nice.
