turbo sound gone

I have 06 3500. I wanted to know how to get the sound of the whistle of my turbo. I have straight pipe from turbo back. Thought that would make it sing but no. I pulled the baffles out of the tube going to the turbo. My 06 doesn't even sound close to the 99 model I had. Any suggestions as to what I can do to allow my truck to sing again. Thanks

The noise is compressor noise, which is why you don't hear it with the exhaust.

There is a silencer ring in the turbo that can be pulled, and a metal intake tube from Genos will help. The air intake is facing away from you, unlike your 2nd gen.

thanks. is the intake tube one of the air raid that genos has? I take it, it is not to difficult to remove and install. Do you have any suggestions for programmers. Not looking to tear rear end but would to be able to have a little more power and monitor whats going on.

Smarty Jr with analog gauges.

I think the Airaid MIT is the best product for flow, but will absorb the sound more than the MPC eliminator pipe.
