Is there anyone out there who is using the parking brake switch to ground or turn on their Isspro Turbo Temp Monitor?
The original schematic showed the 'emergency sshutdown' switch on the +12v side. I wanted to incorporate the brake switch so no one could drive off with my truck.
First I tried putting a relay between the brake and a constant hot to switch the +12v side of the monitor on, but that means the relay is powered up the entire time the parking brake is depressed. I don't know if it would drain the batt. , I just don't like the idea of a constant draw when parked and unattended.
Anyway, sorry for being longwinded(to much coffee) can I just use the brake (switched ground) for the monitor's ground? Could lifting the ground cause damage over a period of time????
I know there is a solution. Thanks in advance for any input.
