Crazy trans trouble, any ideas?

2004 3500 48RE transmission shifting issues

Hey all,
Just curious, Is turbo temp hitting 1200 deg about normal? On ramp getting on hiway it hit 1200 deg boost was around 30 psi , outside temp 81. Just never noticed it going that high. Seen it hit 1000 though.

Should I be concerned?

Thanks

Yep, hopefully that EGT reading is pre turbo. You want to stay under 1,350 with the probe in the exhaust manifold. Running empty they get hot too, but I usually see 1200 pulling hills with a big 5th wheel trailer. The engines like rpm when running hard, the EGT will drop under load when you stay above 1850 rpm. I actually run over 2200 rpm with my 4 speed autos pulling my big trailers, keeps things cooler. Don't lugg it and those pistons will last and last.

Where is the pyro probe located?

What are you running for tuning?
The probe is in the middle of manifold, Where the instructions said to install. Its been on the truck for sometime this temp issue just started.
The truck is stock I just installed the gauges ( EGT and Boost) to monitor the parameters.

1200° is very normal and not hard to hit on a stock 07 5.9. They will run up to 1450° under load on stock programming.
