Archived turbo trouble!

i had my truck in for warrenty work,and i let them know that my turbo was leaking oil ,meaning when you pulled the boot from the air filter off you could see oil in the bottom of turbo just laying there,they sail that they would warrenty it no problem since i have the extended warrenty plus i still have 8 months left on warrenty anyways, and i only have 27000 miles on truck. then when i picked it up they said that it was loose but still in the specs,they tol me to keep an eye on it and if it gets worse to bring it back,but what do i do about the oil leaking out of the turbo from the engine... . can i go over someones head to get it replaced...

just before anyone asks,all my boxes were off the truck, and they didnt care about mods, they are really reasonable,the service man just simply told me that they(chrysler)wouldnt warrenty it till it was farther out of spec... or when it comes apart i guess. . mmmm

That oil is unexceptable!



Get some extra used oil and add some extra to the air filter tube, a lot of it. Have it towed and say its worse and your not taking it until it is fixed. I'm sure you wont have a problem then

Oil in the air cleaner end of the turbo can cause a runaway engine. Better get it fixed. Be stubborn with them if you have too. Make noises that have the word lawyer in them.

thanks for the responces guys,they r usally good to me,they never say anything about my exhoust or gauges or my power boxes,he bacicly said that chrysler had the tech measure the end play i guess and it wasnt far enough out,we will see,wonder how they would like it parked ontop of that viper on showroom floor ha ha
