Archived Turbo trouble.

Just installed hx40 hybrid turbo on mt 01 CTD. Makes lots of noise which is OK if not for the fact that I'm still only getting 32 LBS boost @ WOT (no better that stock) But the real problem is my EGTs are out of control. Stock, I could cruise @ 70 MPH W/10 LBS Boost & 650-700 deg EGT. Now @ 70 Im still at 10 LBS boost but... ... ..... EGTs @ 900 deg. If I accelerate from 70 to ???? WOT for 5 seconds Temps go to 1200-1250 and Ottomind defuels. :{ Truck ran great before but I was looking for a little more and had read good things about these turbos but now I need help.

Please if anyone can help please post soon. Hate to scrap this whole idea if ther is an easy fix or something Ive overlooked. Thanks

What kind of air cleaner are you running? If its the stock airbox, I would highly recommend changing out to something with more flow. I run a Fleetguard BHAF myself, part number #AH19037. Just take out the old airbox, isolate the box studs, and slap the new filter in.



A little more info about the truck would help. .
