Looking for some feedback from those who have gone the route. I did a search and there is just too much info out there - overwhelming.

Truck is my daily driver and is used as a tow vehicle for the race car about 2 weekends a month during the season. I like to drive it hard - got rid of an M5 to get a tow rig, so I enjoy pushing her daily.

I've run a 14. 55 with just the mods in the sig and will be doing VB, TC, and billets as next mods. Just looking for feedback on where to go from here. I wont say twins are totally out, but I think I am leaning more towards just a single upgrade.

Thanks in advance.

I have been nothing but happy with the HTT Sledpuller 66 for my truck (though it is a stick) - So maybe a Killer B2 would work for you?

The problem I have is that I would hate to go buy a turbo for your truck only to find that you outgrow it in 6 months - The HTT line you can upgraded, and they are making the compressor outlets now SPECIFICLY for the 3rd gens now, FWIW

how much you towing?

I dont think we tow more than 6500 with the trailer we have now. I dont think we would ever see more than 9000 in the future, either.

Put one of these under the hood if you need some extra boost. Might take a while for it to spool though. :D

Thanks to nickleinonen for the photo.

Not to highjack here but, I am in the same boat. I am upgrading my Juice to the "HOT" program and will be looking for more turbo soon. Yep, a clutch too :D I use my truck as a daily driver as well but, pull about 12K lbs of enclosed and rock buggies over the mountains regularly for competitions. Do you think the HTT Sledpuller 66 would keep up or do you think twins is where I should be headed. I plan to do injectors and a cam as well if money allows in the next year.

Towing heavy: Watch out for compressor surge out of the large impellered turbo chargers.

You might want to stay with a 12cm or 14cm turbine housing with the 62mm wheel.

On a similar note, what about a strictly towing turbo? I almost don't care about lag time, I wanna get EGT's down. Cost isn't a factor 'cause I ain't gonna do nuttin' til this one blows. What's out there?? I want direct bolt on replacement. Not changing this, that and 18 other things to get it to fit. Maybe just a bigger housing?? I don't know much about turbos, just that they whistle.

I thought I read a while back you were disappointed in the spool, did you change/fix something or get more accustom to the high end performance in trade of some low end?

Paul is excellent at taking care of his customers. I purchased the HTBG because he was out of HTB2 at the time I needed mine (cracked stock unit), but can upgrade when I want to and as often as I want to. Prices are pretty good too considering it's a 3rd gen.
