Turbo upgrade, twins or SPS 62

I'm getting ready to upgrade my turbo. I seldom tow, but I want to be able to turn up the power when I feel the urge without worrying about grenading my stock turbo. I know the SPS 62 is a strong single and many of you have installed it with great results. I've also read about the Arctic Air twins that use your stock turbo in the kit to save some money.

I'm interested in a moderate power upgrade, not a monster puller. I want reliability, and I would like to do this just once. What are the advantages or disadvantages of each? How do they compare?

I've read about some of the twins being laggy and having surging problems. Anyone out there with the Arctic Air twins? Would you buy them again if you had the opportunity?

Go with twins! No single can compare! Check with RC Cox on the RD twins.

at low altitude, just do the single... at high altitude do the single unless you tow HEAVY constantly and want to pull that heavy trailer at an unsafe speed

Randy, I think you will really like the SPS-62 from Industrial Injection for a single. It is a super turbo that rocks on the 3rd gen motor. It spools up just as fast as stock and moves more air volume due to the extended tip compressor wheel. 50psi boost is no problem for this turbo.

Thanks for the info. I live in the panhandle--about 3200 ft. I think I'm going with the SPS-62 for ease of installation and its a cheaper option for what I want it for.
