Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Turbo Upgrade??

Do you guys think I should upgrade my turbo housing to a 14cm, like the one that High Tech Turbo sells??? With the stock turbo the egt's were pushing 1200 on a 7% grade with my 11K Race Trailer at 60F. Wondering if it will be too hot in the heat. Also, will it improve towing power/fuel economy??? Right now I get 26 lbs. of boost with the elbow.

With your power level, it is hard to improve on the factory turbo. 1200 degrees is not hot, also higher outside temps usually doesn't change the EGT's much. I would leave it alone at this stage.

Call Piers, for about $250 you can get a 16cm non wastegated housing it will reduce egt's by about 150, and increase turbo effiecency. It's a liitle slower spooling, but it's worth a try.
