Have any of you used turbo wraps? I am thinking of buying one and installing it on the truck. Any thoughts on if this would be a waste of money, or is there an actual gain from getting it.

I have one on my 2002. I don't know if it made any difference as I am basically stock. The main thing I was hoping is to cut down on underhood heat near my BHAF. With your Edge Comp you may see more benefit.

I have an '02 with the exhaust manifold, turbo, downpipe, and oil pan wrapped by Advance Thermal Products in Irvine, CA. I did it to reduce overall engine noise and to reduce heat in the engine compartment. It does both well. On a long hard pull with the travel trailer (Smarty on SW-3) the EGT's hold at 1100 degrees and my wife says that the floor temperature on her side is much cooler (an added bonus).

If you decide to wrap the turbo, be sure to use a quality product or the exhaust heat will destroy it or at least reduce its effectiveness in a short period of time.

Blanketing the turbo is supposed to lower underhood temperatures and spool time quicker. Whether or not they're worth the effort or money.....I cant say.
