Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) turbo ?

how much better is the hx40 than an hx35/40? if someone were to put a 16cm housing on the hx35/40 wouldnt that pretty much make it a hx40? im thinking of getting a pdr hx40 but i dont have $1000+ right now. so in the mean time i called pdr and am going to get a 58mm wheel off an hx40 and the comp. housing for about $200. i would like to know if there is that much of a difference or should i save for a pdr hx40? thanks.
