I have searched and seached TDR and cannot find one thread or post about turbochargerpros and if they recommend. We have gotton 359K out of stock OEM turbo and I believe its time after we spent the day PMing the truck during this mild winter lull. First we discovered the wastegate was frozen, freed that up and thought we may have picked up a few ponies . Our season has been slow for snow removal and 515 bucks for a reman turbo is sounding pretty good about now. Wish someone here could help us out by thumbs up or nay or nich it . They have a good website ,we need stock and have no time or money for fancy s. . t So thanks in advance.

Must not have any members who have purchased a turbo from turbochargerspro.com. Its always nice to know what you are getting into before buying. We have to watch every penny until work picks up , and they offer a reman for 515. I could have swore there was a thread once where someone had bought one from them. Need stock turbo for 2003 5. 9 ASAP.

Look on ebay or in the TDR classifieds for a used 341. They don't go for big money- the 351 is the popular option. Several years ago I bought a 351 on ebay for less than $300, not realizing it was for a Ford F650 application. It was in virtually new condition.

they have one for 850 free shipping in Ohio. Rebuilt in USA. Still digging around because the more I read ,the more it looks like I should go with 2004. 5-2007 and just disregard the plug .

Absolutely, this would be a smart decision, just realize you will have to upgrade the turbo downpipe also, as the 351 has a 4" exhaust flange, where the 341 is 3 1/2".

Call Rip at Source Automotive in Portland, when I spoke with him a while back, picking his brain about which compounds I should choose, he had a couple of used, factory take off 351's in excellent condition(one I believe he had been running on his truck). Probably long gone now, but worth a phone call.

Found one on e-bay out of NE Ohio. HE351CW ,which I will have to buy 4" downpipe but will most likely wake up ole Clarence a bit. 850 INCLUDING core for 150 . The only drawback is the going to 4 " which will probrably be well worth the extra hassle. My neighbor is a major wrench and is layed off at the moment so I won`t have to dig it out myself. Oh but it is rusty so I am scared something will be broken taking old one off. In meantime I`ll check your guy in Portland too to make sure they are gone.

Just ordered a holsett 351 2004. 5--2007 for my 2003 from Sourceauto in Oregan. Its on its way for $500 buck used and if mines a good core I`ll be credited $150.

You shouldn't have to change the downpipe. The elbow from your '03 will match right up to your new turbo.

This is true, thanks rs. I should have remembered this, since I did not change mine with a 351, sps62, or silver62. Only changed it later, trying to get the silver to light sooner. didn't help, actually the 4" elbow and downpipe spooled the turbo slower.

Glad Source was able to help, they are great to work with.
