Howdy - New Member Here,

I'll be picking my truck up at Dave Smith's in Kellogg Idaho in about 4 weeks. It's a shortbed diesel. Before I install the 5th wheel hitch I will get the bed sprayed. They use Turboliner, which is supposed to be as good as Line-X and Rhino. Does anyone have any experience with this product?

Thanks

I had mine done throught Dave Smith and it as goos as my other truc (RHINO). Just make shure you tell them to remove all the access pannels and hardware, so if you need to get to the tailgate latch assy, you wont have to cut ans chisel it out.

Wardog,

I have turboliner in mine from Dave Smith and it's holding up nicely. I'm happy with it. I'll do the same thing the next time I order a truck.

After having a Permatech sprayed on in my '99, I'm all about how well the installer preps the bed. I found a place that will call you once the bed is sanded and prepped and you have the option of coming down to the shop to inspect it. Sprayed on's don't come off, so be careful who installs it!

I've decided on turboliner as well, based more on the shop than the product. Spooled-up is right, it's all about the prep work. A bad installer can screw up any of those spray ons.

The turboliner dealer had me install the gooseneck hitch before they spray. said it wouldn't leave any bare metal from the drilling if they sprayed afterwards.

I had Dave Smith install my hitch first and then spray. Like Ksadz says, that way you don't expose any metal when you drill. Turboliner seems to be one of the better products. Seems to wear well and is less prone to the effects of UV exposure. Another thing to watch at Dave Smith's is how thick they spray it on. Most of their work is good but once in awhile they get in a hurry and a truck will come out of the shop with a somewhat thin Turboliner.
