what should i do... the truck just feels way unsafe past 70mph... when i get the truck up on a lift everthing looks ok and great but the steering just feels loose and the truck likes to wander in the lane... it has always felt funny at big speeds but it seems to be getting worse. .

new shocks or what. . it has the stockers on it and i know its time to get new ones but what else could it be. .

If your track bar is tight, I would look at getting the "Darins Steering Stabilizer". I have seen it make a huge difference on a truck with the same symptoms, it's worth a shot for something like $150.

is there a website for the "Darins Steering Stabilizer".

How much air are you running in your rear tires. If you have 80 lbs that will make it really squirrelly. Try 57 or so in the front and 44 in the rear empty, and call me in the morning. I have both the DSS and DTBB (3rd Gen track Bar). Straight as an arrow. SNOKING

I would bet that the track bar is loose. You need to lay under the front of the truck and while someone is turning the steering wheel back and fourth(truck doesn't have to be running) watch the ball joint end for any movement up and down. If it moves then you need a new track bar. You can get a rebuild kit from Luke's link or a new 3rd gen track bar and the Solid steel adapter.

Mine was scary with a camper on, all over the road and couldn't relax for a second. A lukes link in the track bar and the DSS made it drivable but I still wasn't happy, It still was sort of wallowy. I had the alignment checked and they said it was ok, a few weeks ago I decided to try a little more caster anyway so I crawled under the truck and 15 minutes later I had 1/2 a mark more caster, it made a noticeable improvement, the steering effort is slightly more but it doesn't wander at all and the steering wheel returns to center quite a bit faster and has a better feel.
