Competition results from TTPA pull in Caro, MI 7-26-06

Off Roading need a part

I am going to the watch the truck pulls at the Turlock fair today and was just wandering if anyone from here is going to be pulling. I know Rebel Ram will be there with his 24v and it will be his first ever truck pull. Good luck Rebel Ram.

Cummins takes 1st and 2nd

Well I was excited to see BBD for the first time but all didn't go well for him. He was pulling pretty good til something gave out. Im guessing it was the intercooler tube... . don't know. I was also excited to see Albert pull with his new truck(99 quad cab long bed with I believe a 12V) but it looked like the same thing happened to him as BBD. That is one nice looking rig. What a beautiful paint job. Anyway two other dodges still took top two places. Actually they tied for first..... 224. 9... . Great show and lots of trucks(27 total)... . kind of surprised not too many isuzus showed up being that a majority of diesels driven around here are chevys...

James Silva and Alex ?? tied for first... I heard some rattling comming from BBD Scotts Truck before the big Bang!!!!! Hopefully it was just a hose our intercooler. .

This was not a high horsepower track one of the trucks that tied for first is only putting out around 375hp,,,,The big HP trucks could not put the power to the ground,Good old west coast sandy loose track Oo.

First hook!

Sorry Steve. I had a bunch of people there to see it too and what a let down. My first pull,= 6". Heres why.

From what I can tell, I was missing two bolts at my CV and the other two were loose. As soon as the front end got a load on she let go. As the CV was flailing about it took out the TC case and knocked my shifter linkage off and wedged it down on the skid pan so I couldn't go back to rear drive only so I had to tiptoe off the track with the front drive line dancing around.

The one good bolt in the second pic, I found on the skid pan with the assorted pieces of schrapnel. The other good one is probably in Moab. The broken one with part of it in the CV flange got launched I'm sure.

I am now just in the stages of what lengths I'm going to go to to fix this mess.

Scott blew off one of the boots, he said that was the first time that had ever happened to him. It was a great turnout and there were a lot of high hp trucks, but like Dan said Alex tied for first and he's right around 400hp.

You hit the nail on the head there Dan, its just getting plain frustrating out here with these tracks. I could have used a better tire but who wants to carry three sets of tires to ever pull.

I did pop a boot, the one going into the intercooler. I know what most are going to say right now "why are you stiull using an intercooler" I have plans to get rid of it just aint there yet. Anyway you know how the crowd likes it when folks break stuff so the last two pulls I have been the show unfortunatly :D

At least the it popped when you basically had your whole run in.

You might have had another 10' or so.

Looks like you were way overpowering the track (what track?).

Me tinks you need big paddle tires.

BBD Scott when your truck blew the hose our whatever it was pieces flew over from the front of the truck towords us :)

Something was ratteling in the engine before it blew,It sounded like a gasser with the timming off :--)

Dan, not sure what those pieces were as we pushed the boot back over the opening started it up and drove it on the trailer. I think you might have seen rocks or something that the shot of air slung your way who knows, at least you didn't get hurt :D
