2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission turn signal 4 ways and brake lights

Well went shopping yesterday and upon arrival no turn signals. no brake lights or 4 ways. ok check fuses found the hazard fuse under hood bad replace, still no lights. this is sunday no parts store open. get home check mulit-function switch find some corrosion so today after work check with Advance Auto and get a new one 61 dollars and change not to bad. put it in stil no lights. change flasher no joy. take the trailer plug apart it's a little dirty but not bad clean, still no joy. go back check fuses again this time with ohm meter found the brake fuse next to the hazard fuse bad replace LIGHTS ALL WORK. So I take old mulit-function switch apart and it is VERY corroded with green stuff growing between connections. Maybe that's what popped the fuses? Next time I will check fuses with ohm meter, might have saved me money. Of course with 230 plus miles mulit-function switch may have just had enough.
