My 2011 RAM 3500 has an issue with the left turn signal. Every once in a while it will say the bulb is dead. I will replace it and the next day the same thing, however the bulb is fine. It will do this for several weeks. I've used electrical cleaner and the electrical grease on it. It will go away after some time only to keep happening. Happened to me last year too. The only common denomination is it appears to happen when the temperature is very hot outside. (Currently in Alaska we are 90 to 100 degres). I was wondering if I need a new socket / coupler? I am not sure the proper name of the holder for the light so have been having a hard time finding the part.

Before you try something more drastic, change out the bulbs in your CHMSL - the high mounted stop light on top of your cab. My truck had the same problem and couldn’t recognize the difference in the EVIC between that and the turn signal. When I replaced those (3) bulbs, the turn signal message went away.

Thanks. It has been out for years. I will give it a try. It will be dificultfor I have a canope attached to the bed of my truck. It makes sence for Dadge has "unique electronics."

I switched all the bulbs on the High Mount Stop lamp. Scrubbed the connections on the driver side turn signial and it stil occasionally goes out. Sometimes the bulb is dimmer than usual. Then it will go out. When I turn the truck off and back on the turn signal works for a while then quits again. I have no clue.

I would suggest swapping the circuit boards from side to side.....if the problem goes to the right side, I’d bet you’ve found the problem.
