Boy, the search found nearly nothing on the topic.

My turn signal switch needs to be replaced. I printed the instructions last night (I have both paper, and CD copy of the manual). Before I get into it I thought I'd ask the question.

The manual shows the steering wheel off, but the instructions make no reference to removing the wheel. Does the steering wheel have to come off to replace the switch? I know someone here has done this before.

Thanks a bunch in advance,

George

Thanks BigPapa! I used to change my steering wheel on my 72 Cuda fairly regularly, but that was a LONG time before airbags. I did not want to remove the danged wheel!

Makes a big difference in how long the job will take. Appreciated much!

Yes, I bought the Cuda new...….I was 3!

Why do you think it needs to be replaced? The multi-switch is notorious for not working good if its not used enough. Try being a little more aggressive with it and function may return.

Good advice on the disconnect batteries Joe!!

Yeah, it works intermittently, I may see if it straightens up for awhile. I was able to pass inspection one day when it started working again! Retirement means I just don't put many miles on a vehicle anymore, that's a good thing.....for me, for them, not so much.
Thanks again for the advice guys, this forum has always meant a lot to me.
