My 04 turn signals are acting up. The right signal will not come on and when I use the left signal the right lifht in the dash comes on. To correct I have to either move the lever up and down or or move the lever up a little harder. Sometimes it will work then just stop.

Is the switch going bad ?

Thanks

There's a good possibility that it's the switch, but it could also be pinched or chaffed wires in the steering column.

Do you frequently adjust the steering wheel tilt? If so, there's a wire bundle in there that eventually gets chaffed and shorts out. This is sometimes the cause of strange behavior as you describe.

Have you noticed any other strange electrical behavior besides the turn signals?

Now that you mention it my remote sometimes will lock the doors but no horn signal and the lights won't flash when I unlock, but the locks do lock and unlock.

So if it is that bundle what is the damage for fixing that?

Thanks for the help

Well, with the additional symptoms of the remote lock it could be a front control module (located directly beneath the fuseblock).

If it were me, I'd check the steering column first. Shouldn't take more than an hour for a thorough inspection.

If it is the turn signal switch, (the multifunction)(malfunction switch), Wholesale Mopar Parts.com has them at a good price... That is what went bad on my 05, and it only took about 20 minutes to change. . It is fairly common for those switches to go bad. .
